About Me & My History with AMSOIL

 I began my mechanical career in auto and truck repair in 1977 at a small, family-owned full-service gas station and repair shop. I was first introduced to AMSOIL products in the mid-1980s while working there. The owner also operated a home heating oil business. We used AMSOIL products throughout the fleet of delivery and service vehicles. The protection AMSOIL provided, along with extended oil change intervals, saved a significant amount of time and money!

 When that business was sold, I moved on to a local AAMCO Transmission franchise. During my time there, I trained and successfully completed the AAMCO Transmission Rebuilder Academy in Pennsylvania, proudly finishing second in my class. After several years with AAMCO, I continued my career at a local multi-franchise auto and truck dealership where I attended numerous manufacturer training programs covering transmissions, electrical and electronic systems, starting and charging systems, brakes, engine repair, and complete drivetrain service.

 Over the years I have earned several professional certifications, including:                                                                                  

• Graduate of the AAMCO Transmission Rebuilder Academy
• Chrysler Master Technician specializing in transmission, differential, and driveline service
• GM Master Technician specializing in transmission, differential, and driveline service
• ASE Certified Master Technician

 When the local AMSOIL dealer retired, I lost the convenience of having a nearby servicing dealer. In 2005, I connected with my sponsoring dealer through a Harley-Davidson enthusiast forum. After meeting with George in Boston and learning more about the company and its products, becoming an AMSOIL dealer was an easy decision—and Save On Synthetics was born.

 Today I have approximately 150 people in my organization, including dealers, preferred customers, commercial accounts, retail, and catalog customers.

 As a long-time Harley-Davidson enthusiast, I’ve spent decades building, servicing, and maintaining my own motorcycles as well as many others. In 2009, I had the opportunity to participate in Daytona Bike Week with a group of experienced AMSOIL dealers, where I gained a vast amount of knowledge from several of the longtime dealers.

 Although I retired from the full-time auto and light-truck technician field in 2003, I still service Harley-Davidson motorcycles under the name of SOS Service & Repair. I began “working on” Harley’s in the late 1970s. I have a particular passion for older bikes and plan to continue working on them for as long as possible.

 In addition to my mechanical background, I became a licensed Real Estate Agent in 2005 advancing to Real Estate Broker in 2007. I continue to work in Real Estate today. People often say to me, “Why don’t you retire? My Answer: “You Rest, You Rust”!

 Being both a consumer and dealer of AMSOIL products has been extremely rewarding. Over the years I’ve gained valuable knowledge through the use of the various products, consumer feedback and training classes. In addition, the interactions with other dealers, corporate staff, and my customers has been GREAT!

 I do not pressure anyone into using AMSOIL products, (I don’t try to push a rope), I share the knowledge I have obtained. Ask me a question and I’ll give you an honest answer. From there, you decide if AMSOIL is the right choice.
